Dansk Fiskeklub Waconda (The Waconda Danish Fishing Club) was re-organized in 1914. Its former name was Spegesilden (The Salted Herring). It has thirty-five members, and meets every second and fourth Tuesday at Christ Nielsen's at the corner of Talman and North Avenues.

The aim of the club is to fish and eat fish.
