Old Lawyer Dead Isaac Abraham Dies at the Age of 74 Years

Early this morning Attorney Isaac Abraham, who practiced for 40 years in the local police courts, died at the age of 74 years. He took an active part in politics and was twice elected to the Illinois Legislature. The deceased was born in 1833 at Schneidemiehl, Germany, and came to America with his parents, at the age of 7 years. He received his school education in Quincy, Ill. In the year 1860 he was appointed chief of police of Quincy, which position he held until the close of the Civil War. He came to Chicago in 1866. Surviving are one son and two daughters.
