The stock of books in Lithuanian is being enlarged and improved from day to day. New books in Lithuanian, dealing with science, history, and fiction, are appearing with increased regularity. Angliskos Kalbos Vadovelis (English Language Text-book): Especially suited for those who wish to learn the English language quickly for daily use. Prepared by J. Laukis.

Raistas (The Jungle): Written by Upton Sinclair, translated into Lithuanian by John Naujokas. This is a novel dealing with Lithuanian life in Chicago, based on actual facts about the Chicago Stock Yards. It contains 355 pages and is a most interesting and educational book.

Alluma ir Kitos Pasakos (Alluma and Other Stories): Written by Guy de 2Maupassant, translated into Lithuanian by J. Laukis. It contains twelve interesting short stories written by one of the best story-writers in the world.

Ar Bus Geriaus Po Socializmo? (Will We Be Better off under Socialism?): Written by D. Dumbre. This is a second edition of this book, corrected and greatly enlarged.

Japonu Pasakos (Japanese Stories): Translated from Russian into Lithuanian by S. Vaitekunas. Contains seven interesting Japanese short stories.

Komunistu Manifestas (Communist Manifesto): Translated into Lithuanian from the original in German. Written by the fathers of Socialism, Karl Marx and F. Engels. The theory of Socialism is explained in detail.

Lietuvaite (Lithuanian Maiden): A five-act drama dealing with ancient Lithuanian life. Written by John Railis.

Moteris ir Jos Vieta Zmonijoje (Woman and Her Place in Society): Written by J. Laukis, Deals with the feminine movement for equality.

Pietro Caruso: A one-act drama, dealing with an actual incident which took place in Naples, Italy. Written by R. Bracco, translated into Lithuanian by K. Puida.

Pilenu Kunigaikstis (The Duke of Pilenai): A five-act tragedy, written by M. Siaulenis.

Ponaitis (The Little Master): A short story about the life of an American boy. Written by K. Puida.

Populiariskas Rankvedis Fizikos (Handbook of Popular Physics): Written by P. Neris. This book consists of five sections, dealing with the various phases of physics.

Revoliucijos Dainos (Revolutionary Songs): A collection of twenty-four songs of the new era.

Sparnai (Wings): A three-act drama, written by V. Siaulenis.

Svarbi Priezastis (An Important Motive): A one-act comedy. Written by P. Bayard in Polish. Translated into Lithuanian by K. Zegota.

Tris Mylimos (Three Love Affairs): A three-act comedy, written by Miss Zemaite.

Vincas Stonis (William Stonis): A novel dealing with the common life of the masses. Written by Satrijos Ragana (The Witch of Satrija), a pseudonym of a famous Lithuanian woman novelist.

Zodynas Lietuviskai-Angliskos Kalbos (Lithuanian-English Dictionary): Prepared by Anthony Lalis.
