New Lithuanian Books

The following is a list of newly published Lithuanian books:

Pasaka Apie Adoma Ir Jieva (The Story of Adam and Eve), written by Paul Lafargue, translated from the German by P. Miksis; published in Chicago by the Lietuva Press.

Paul Lafargue is one of the most progressive French writers. Many of his works have been translated into many languages. The Story of Adam and Eve is a highly regarded book. The author attempts to explain in a scientific manner the various traditions about the first family of mankind. It is a worthy book.

Nauja Skaitymui Knyga (A New Reading Book), intended for Lithuanian schools in America. It is illustrated, and was published in Chicago by the Katalikas Press. This is the third, improved and enlarged edition of the book. The stories and poems in this book are written in such simple language that even small children can read them. The stories deal with fiction, science, geography, 2and Lithuanian history.

Ciecorius Domicijonas Ir Kasejai Katakumbose (Caesar Domitius and the Catacombs), translated from the Polish language into Lithuanian by "P. B." It is published in Chicago by the Katalikas Press. This is an historical story, dealing with the persecution of Christians in ancient Rome.
