C. J. Gulliksen, a Chicago artist, has just returned from Europe. He is a very competent portrait and landscape painter. He has painted Henrik Isben and Bjornstjerne Bjornson. He also painted President McKinley from imagination. McKinley is shown signing the declaration of war against Spain. The picture was called,"The greatest moment in the life of McKinley". It is a masterpiece. Mr. Gulliksen has studied under Mr. K. Bergslien of Norway.
