Mentions the foundation in Chicago, in 1917, of the Society Prosvyeshcheniye (Enlightenment), also known as Berg's School, 1206 North Avenue, corner Hoyne Avenue.
The society had three aims: (1) The study of the political constitution and of the economic structure of the United States; (2) The study of socialism as the most prominent movement of the present times having a serious scientific foundation, and (3) The arrangement of literary and musical entertainments, etc.
