The Verdandi Study League
Svenska Tribunen-Nyheter, Oct. 22, 1924
The series of lectures which Verdandi arranged last winter attracted much interest and were very well attended. Many people have been wondering, therefore, whether the program would be continued this season. We are happy to be able to report that it will. A new series of lectures on educational topics will start tonight, and for the opening program Verdandi has secured the celebrated author Carl Sandburg, who has already made a name for himself in American literature and whose works are widely read. The lecture will be delivered in English, and he will discuss modern literature, including his own contributions. In addition, he willing to guitar accompaniment, and it is certain to be an interesting and entertaining evening. The place is Idrott's building, 3206 Wilton Avenue.
