Working Women's Home Association

Mrs. Laura G. Filen, who organized the Working Women's Home Association, has completed two years of splendid work. The Association opened the Minnetnka Home at 189 East Huron Street. The purpose is to give working women a respectable home at the most reasonable rates, and find work for them.
Last year, more than six hundred women registered. Of these about two hundred were offered jobs. Mrs. Filen is Danish. The president, A. E. Johnson, is Danish, also.
The following directors are some of the most prominent Danes of Chicago: George P. Bay, Henry L. Hertz, Alex Johnson and Dr. Gunsaulus, a Norwegian.
