Danish Brotherhood Activity of the Society from July 1 to October 1

Mr. Viggo A. Danielsen, secretary in chief of the Danish Brotherhood in America, has submitted to the Skandinaven the following report concerning the activity of the society from July 1 to October 1 of the present year:

On October 1 the Brotherhood had 126 active lodges with a total of 6,873 members: a net increase in membership of 165 during the quarter. During this period there has been paid in insurance to relatives of deceased members a total of $5,750.30. Burial aid paid to members whose wives have passed away reached a total of $450. During the same period $3,673.02 was paid in sick benefits, and $803.98 in extra benefits to ailing members. Since the last report three new lodges have been organized....

It will be realized from the figures given above that the Brotherhood is progressing steadily. From the accounts covering the period we quote:
